About the Role
The Enterprise Business Systems Manager will lead the efforts to optimize our organization's business systems. This position will work with multiple stakeholders across the organization to support, design, select, and improve technology systems. This role manages the overall programs for the ERP and related applications & solutions, including new implementations, projects, enhancements, and support & maintenance to meet the business's needs. This position requires a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and strategic thinking. The role directly leads projects, including performing project management and business systems analysis.
Responsibilities

Oversee the selection, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise systems such as ERP, CRM, and other critical business applications.

Provided project management and oversight of implementations, including the development of project plans and schedules, task management, resource planning, and status communication with stakeholders.

Conduct thorough vendor selection processes, evaluating potential partners based on expertise, capabilities, and fit with organizational needs.

Manage post-go-live activities, including system optimization, user training, and ongoing support to ensure a smooth transition and user adoption

Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, staying abreast of changes and proactively addressing potential issues.

Negotiate contracts, review service level agreements, and stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies.

Provide support such as troubleshooting malfunctions of program bugs, hardware and software applications, and security systems to resolve operational issues and restore services.

Liaison between IT and other departments to streamline & re-engineer business and system processes that use the ERP software and third-party integrated software.

Manage relationships with external service providers, consultants, and internal stakeholders.

Lead meetings between stakeholders, resources, senior managers, and executives.

Keep senior management informed of all technical issues that adversely impact critical business systems or processes.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of chosen ERP system functionality and related industry developments. Analyze industry, technology, and market trends to determine their potential impacts on the enterprise.
Experience/Education

Ability to be a team player and collaborate with other technical and non-technical resources to achieve project and business objectives.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Knowledge of data security and regulatory compliance (e.g. SOX, NIST, ISO)

Project management experience, including budget and resource management.

Strong attention to detail, self-motivated, and directed.

Familiarity with FDA regulation part 11

Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

Ability to thrive in a change-oriented, fast-paced environment requiring a high degree of deadline-driven productivity.

Identify upstream and downstream impact analysis through experience, systems, and processes.
Experience/Education Required
-
A bachelor’s degree is required in information technology, computer science, business, or a related field.

Minimum of five (5) + years of relevant experience as an IT Business Partner, Enterprise System Leader, Business Analyst, or similar role.

Experience with SAP or other ERP platforms in a life sciences manufacturing environment.

Strong understanding of enterprise-level applications, including ERP, HRIS, and content/document management.

Proven experience leading and implementing ERP systems from configuration to implementation.

Experience in system selection, configuration, customization, integration, upgrades, and enhancements.
Experience/Education Preferred

Professional certification in project management, such as a Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) and the usage of associated software tools such as Microsoft Project or Smartsheet

Experience with Fishbowl Inventory management or equivalent

ERP/MRP Sourcing and Evaluation

Experience with CRM implementation and management

Knowledge of E-Commerce system management

Experience with electronic QMS systems
For California, the base pay range for this position is $100,000 to $140,000 (Compensation could be higher based on education, experience and skill sets)
